This is our company history...
In 1931 at the age of 23, Paul Le Vasseaur Bonneau did what a lot of our ancestors did, he immigrated to the United States in search of the opportunity for a better life. While Paul’s journey started in Montreal, your family may have come from Italy, China, Poland or anywhere, mine came from Ireland and Germany. The common thread that connects them all, and us of course, is the pursuit of “The American Dream”. Mr. Bonneau started his dream as a sous chef at a fancy hotel right here in Portland, Oregon. Six years later he started what is today Bonneau Foods.
I have been given one of those “once in a lifetime” opportunities to carry on a legacy and take it into the digital age. I’m Thom King. I recently brought Bonneau Products into our family of brands. Our goal is to take an already good product line and make it great.
You have my commitment to bring you the best quality products for a fair price coupled with customer service not seen for a very long time. Part of our “total quality initiative” is to integrate better manufacturing practices, upgrade and enhance our HACCP program and dedicate ourselves to delivering new clean label ingredient statements. What this means to you is a higher quality line of products backed by our commitment to constant and never-ending improvement. In turn, this will make your products just that much better.
With a change in direction comes a change in name. While our line of vinegars, Worcestershire, fine soups, sauces and gravy bases with live on under the Chef Bonneau name as they have for nearly three quarters of a century our company will be called Bon Foods. After all Bon Foods literally means “Good Food”.
I invite you to join us while we take Paul Bonneau’s dream into the twenty first century and beyond.
